My place in life
I wanna be one that inspires dreams
That brings a smile to a child’s face
Encouraging them to reach for the stars
Then they’ll make the world a better place
Their innocence we could all learn from
Somewhere we all seemed to lose our way
Now we work and toil for money and goods
For junk and indulgences that fade away
We’re in such a hurry we miss out on so much
We don’t take the time to watch the sunset
We don’t watch when our children truly smile
We never really watched, so we’ll never forget
One day we’ll all wake up and start to realize
That the ones we watch after seem to have the answer
Their giggles and smiles we should take note of
That’s what will start to heal all this cancer
